TUESDAY

Good morning R.C. Waters!

Today is Tuesday, January 9, 2018

Welcome back after an EXTRA long weekend!  I hope you all enjoyed the time!

Today is our celebration of the 80’s!  Everyone looks TOTALLY AWESOME in their 80’s gear.  I am wearing an original 1989 jogging suit once worn by my Grandmother.  I have seen some RAD hairstyles, some BODACIOUS shirts and TO THE MAX glasses.  Don’t SPAZ out if you don’t have your preppy shirt collar up just right - you are totally TUBULAR just the way you are!  Happy 80’s days my righteous friends!

For those students who meet with Mrs. Buder, you will not go with her today. She is absent this morning.

Birthdays

Here is our lineup for this week’s morning announcement leaders:

Thanks for volunteering!

R.C. Cagetakers:

Today our 1st and 2nd grade DOJO winners will have lunch with the Principals.  Look for them in the cafeteria at lunch time.  Congratulations to these students. Remember to look for Mrs. Bryant and Mrs. Lipstraw at lunch!  Our Kindergarten and 3rd grade DOJO winners will enjoy their special lunch on Friday.

The Technology Committee will meet at 3:10 pm today.

Tonight is a Marco’s Pizza Night! Remember to give Marco’s your teacher’s name if you place an order tonight.  The winning class will earn a Marco’s Pizza party of their very own.  (PS, I heard the secretaries like cheesy bread - I’m just saying!)

Everyday we are one more closer to our big reveal of the “One School, One Book” choice for this year.  Last week I met someone who looks a lot like the main character in our book.  He’s cute, quiet and cannot wait to come see all of you.  I bet you are wondering just who it is...

Here’s an idea of kindness for your Tuesday…

  • It’s a new week so we have a new PBIS expectation to work on.  This week let’s focus on

That’s right - in order to remain ready, responsible and respectful, our body & things that belong to us should always follow the 3 R’s and keep to ourselves.

Now I will ask everyone to please stand tall and proud, place your right hand over your heart and join me in saying the Pledge of Allegiance.  After we are finished with the Pledge we will get ready for our day with the “Rocket Rumble”
